Review Cycle Applicants should plan for the review cycle to take a minimum of six months. The length of the cycle is determined by the complexity of the issues raised during the peer review process and by the promptness with which Principal Investigators submit a proposal and address reviewers' concerns. Each project submitted to the Fund is handled by a Research Manager from initial inquiry through oversight of the awarded grant. Applicants may contact the assigned Research Manager for clarifications or questions regarding the status of their grant application. The results of peer reviews and the number of applications are considered as funding decisions are made. If a decision is made to reject a project at any step of the review cycle, the researcher will be notified as soon as possible following that decision.
