When to Apply

Concept papers are accepted on a rolling basis with no specific deadline for submission. The investigator can usually expect notification about the concept in 6-8 weeks depending on the time of submission and the number of concepts received by the Fund. Notification is made by return e-mail.

Those invited to submit a full application will be sent the application kit. This application is reviewed both internally and externally. Funding decisions are made by the Executive Committee several times each year on proposals that have completed the entire review process.  It typically takes six months to complete the review process and receive a final funding decision. The length of time from proposal receipt to funding decision is dependent on the promptness of the reviewers, the complexity of the concerns raised in the reviews, and the response of the investigator.  Review Cycle
